While it's not a new video game in the Left 4 Dead franchise, there has been an announcement of sorts for the hibernating Valve property. The video game Dying Light will be introducing some sort of crossover, collaborative event featuring Left 4 Dead 2. What, exactly, will that entail? Will it be weapons? Characters? Both? Nobody knows.

The game, developed by Techland Publishing, has teased some sort of zombie-slaying crossover with the Left 4 Dead franchise over on Twitter. But, as of writing, that's about the extent of things. Day of infamy - deluxe dlc (unit starter pack and soundtrack) cracked. When might this happen? How? What's it going to include? There's no official details attached to this beyond the image below, so anything further is just speculation.

Given how these things usually work, and what the image seems to show, the event will likely be as simple as Left 4 Dead 2 cosmetics and skins being added to Dying Light. If Techland really wants to get fancy, maybe there will be some sort of special mode harkening back to the very specific design of the Left 4 Dead franchise -- with an added cameo or two.

While Techland is holding out their next game for the next generation of consoles, the original Dying Light is getting some crossover content. The devs will be adding Left 4 Dead 2 content into the game this weekend with a four-day crossover event. Thinks kicked off on Thursday evening with a bunch of free DLC. In this four-day event commencing October 24, 2019, Zombie slayers will experience an increased number of Virals, waves of attacking hordes, an intensifying fight for survival, along with an increased amount of guns and ammo at your disposal. Those who complete the challenges will be rewarded with three event exclusive Gold blueprints that will let them craft the following iconic Left 4 Dead 2 weapons (Electric Guitar, Frying Pan, and Golf Club) to use in Dying Light. The four day event starts on October 24th, and will be available for both PC and console players. After the event concludes the standard blueprints for the Left 4 Dead 2 weapons will be available as a free DLC.
